Change the Name Servers of Your CD Domain
In this guide, you’ll learn how to change the name servers of your CD domain.
Changing name servers allows you to decide where the DNS settings of your domain name are managed—for example, using your hosting name servers or pointing your domain to a different DNS provider.
By default, domains registered with Crazy Domains are connected to the following name servers:
ns1.crazydomains.comns2.crazydomains.com
When using these default name servers, you can manage your DNS settings in your Crazy Domains Account Manager. However, you are free to change these to other name servers at any time if you prefer to manage your DNS elsewhere.
Changing the domain name servers
- Access your domain in your Crazy Domains Account.
- Click on the Name Servers tab.
- On the Name Servers table, click on ADD button. The Add or Edit Name Servers screen will open.
- Replace the existing name servers with the new ones.
NOTE. The system automatically validates name servers after a short pause in typing. During this time, the field may briefly load and temporarily stop further input — this is normal behavior.
For faster editing, enter your name servers in a separate text editor first, then copy and paste them into the field.
- Click on SAVE RECORD to save the changes.
NOTE. Changes to name servers are not instant. It may take 24 to 72 hours for the new settings to fully propagate across the internet.
