How To Connect My Existing Domain to Website Builder
When purchasing a Website Builder plan, you will have the option to register a new Domain Name for free or connect it to one that you already own.
As long as the existing Domain Name you connected with Website Builder upon purchase is also registered through Crazy Domains, you won't need to do anything else.
However, if your Domain is registered with another provider, you will need to make changes to the Domain Name Settings. To do this, log into your Domain provider's management console and update the Name Servers to the following records:
- ns1.syrahost.com
- ns2.syrahost.com
Important: Changing your Domain Name Servers will affect any services you have set up on that Domain, e.g. email services. Only change the Name Servers if you do not have any other service connected to your Domain Name.
If you have any difficulties, contact your Domain provider and give them the Name Servers provided above, to set up on your Domain Name. If you have further problems, you can always transfer your Domain to us.
I Cannot Change My Name Servers
If you have other services, like email hosting, connected to your Domain Name and cannot update your Name Servers, you can still connect your Domain to Website Builder, without it affecting your services.
To do this, please contact us for the A Record needed. Once you have the A Record, contact your Domain Name provider and set the following DNS records:
